Spain – Crevillent Energy Community

The Crevillent Energy Community, located in Alicante, serves approximately 11,000 members, mostly households, with some schools, small retail, and industries. Known for its 100% renewable energy production, Crevillent’s community covers nearly the entire electricity sector value chain. It includes collective self-consumption installations, demand response controls, and EV charging stations. Despite regulatory limitations, Crevillent aims to expand its flexibility services. The community’s extensive distribution network spans over 400 km, integrating 5 PV installations, a large energy storage system, and EV charging stations, fully monitored with smart meters.
